Refund & Cancellation Policy

Transparent pricing means transparent refund terms. This policy explains exactly what is refundable, what is not, and how to request a refund if you are entitled to one.
1. Anvil CRAFT subscriptions
Free trial (Manager seats)
Anvil CRAFT Manager seats include a free trial period. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription is closed and no charge is made. If you do not cancel, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and your payment method is charged for the first billing period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Anvil CRAFT subscription at any time through your account billing settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access to the service until that date. We do not charge cancellation fees.
Refunds on subscription fees
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for billing periods already charged. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for unused days remaining in a billing period after cancellation.
Exceptions are made in the following circumstances:
- Billing error — if you were charged incorrectly (wrong amount, duplicate charge, or charged after a confirmed cancellation), you will receive a full refund for the erroneous charge.
- Service unavailability — if the service experiences significant, sustained downtime in a given billing period due to causes within our control, we will issue a pro-rated credit or refund at our discretion.
- First-month dissatisfaction — if you are a new subscriber (no prior subscription to the same seat type) and request a refund within 7 days of your first charge, we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. This applies once per seat type per account.
2. Anvil FORGE perpetual license
14-day refund window
If you purchase an Anvil FORGE license and are unsatisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your purchase date. No reason is required.
After 14 days, refunds are only issued if Anvil FORGE fails to function on a supported platform and the issue cannot be resolved through reasonable troubleshooting support from us.
Supported platforms
Supported operating systems are listed on the Anvil FORGE download page. We do not issue refunds for incompatibility with unsupported or end-of-life operating systems.
3. What is not refundable
- Subscription fees for billing periods already used beyond the first-month exception
- Anvil FORGE purchases beyond the 14-day window (except for confirmed defects)
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service
- Fees for seat types or periods where the service was actively used
4. How to request a refund
Email us at [email protected] with the subject line Refund Request and include:
- The email address on your account
- The product (Anvil CRAFT seat type or Anvil FORGE)
- The date of the charge in question
- A brief description of the reason (for FORGE requests outside the 14-day window)
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes affecting active subscribers will be communicated by email.
